Where is the best place to eat chicken parma? I rarely eat at pubs so I’m the last person to ask.  But according to the folks at ParmaDaze.com, Melbourne’s one-of-a-kind chicken parma themed food blog, it’s at the Imperial Hotel. Since it seems like that’s all they pretty much eat, I think it’s fair to say they have some authority on the topic.

You go to Din Tai Fung for xiao long bao. Tim Ho Wan for yum cha. Ippudo for Tonkotsu ramen. I guess you go to the Imperial Hotel for chicken parma.

Even though $25 is steep for a parma, you get a lot of parma for what you pay.

Imperial Parma $25
Panko Parmesan Crumb, Napoli, Ham & Mozzarella with Chips & Roquette Salad

The massive butterflied chicken breast was surprisingly thick and juicy – I’m used to chicken breast being flavourless and dry, but this was great. Good Napoli sauce. I found myself liking it! 8.5/10

Points for beer battered chips! Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy inside. 8.5/10

Pleasant little salad, a standard for pub food. Was expecting some parmesan cheese shavings but you can’t get everything. 6/10
