Café with a view of Warrnambool foreshore, minus the wind as an added bonus! Each table even had fresh and pretty flowers!

Great place to sit and enjoy the beachside view while being sheltered from the wind, but the food was hit and miss. Overall, it had more misses.

Skim Iced Coffee

Decent iced coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. 7.8/10

Steak Sandwich $18.50
Scotch, Djion, Rocket, Caramelised Onion, Fresh Tomato in a Sourdough Roll with Fries

The fillet was thin and grilled well with just a touch of pink. Chips could’ve been crispier. Overall a good dish. 7.5/10

Battered Local Portland Flake & Fries, Salad and Tartare $19.50

Once again, the chips were a bit of a let down, but the fish was crispy and flakey. You can tell it’s local and fresh, the way any good fish and chips should be! 7.5/10

Toasted Brioche with Pale Ale Pulled Beef, Pickled Beetroot, Mixed Leaves, Horseradish Crème Fraiche and Parsnip Chips $17.50

Brioche bun was on point, pulled beef was soft but seemed to be missing sauce to pull everything together. Parsnip chips were unmemorable. 6.8/10

Bucatini with Cherry Tomatoes, Zucchini, Asparagus, Basil Presto and Shaved Parmesan $19

Not many places offer bucatini, so I’d thought I’d give this a shot, but overall a bit disappointing. The pasta sauce lacked seasoning. This dish had potential with its ingredients but missed the mark. 6.5/10
