Long story short is a simple yet spacious and elegant cafe located on an easy to access street corner in Port Melbourne.

They serve up beautiful dishes and insta-worthy drinks throughout the day from breakfast to lunch (Mondays to Fridays from 7am to 3pm and for Saturdays and Sundays, 8am to 4pm).

The drinks here are super artistic and innovative while all the food is fresh and almost too pretty to eat. Don’t forget to try out their amazing desserts!

Would recommend checking out this new cafe.

Plenty of seating options
Top notch coffee equipment
Range of bakery treats
Matcha White Chocolate Sphere with Marshmallows $11.50
Matcha is ready to be poured on the white chocolate sphere
Final product – not too pretty, but delicious!

Loved the interactive part of this drink option!

You get served the matcha and white chocolate sphere separately, then while the drink is hot, you pour it directly onto the white chocolate which is just enough to melt it and reveal the marshmallows.

Make sure to stir it up after to properly disperse the chocolate, which adds a delicious creamy sweetness to soften the matcha flavour. A definite recommend for matcha lovers! 8.5/10

Red Velvet Beetroot Latte $5
Love the generous amount of froth!

First time trying a beetroot latte! For starters, it is a beautiful drink and generously frothy. At first, it tasted a bit odd, but it really grew on me. The beetroot really adds a nice sweetness and a almost fruity flavour. Would recommend giving it a go! 8/10

Cappuccino $4

Awesome coffee art! Love the froth but it was a little bit too strong for my tastes. Good for those looking for a strong hit. 7/10

Crispy Skin Marinated Salmon $24 with Riso Venere, Green Salad, Dehydrated Capers and Lemon Labneh

A generously sized piece of salmon! The skin was light and crispy while the salmon was deliciously moist. Loved the addition of Venere black rice which is both healthy and filling. The pepitas added a great crunch to the dish which contrasted well with the labneh. 7.5/10

Chicken Bun $20.50
Slow Cooked Cold Drip Coffee Pork Ribs $23 with Vietnamese Slaw, Lemongrass Balsamic, and Pineapple Variation

This dish is the result of merging my 2 favourite things – coffee and pork ribs. So simple, yet completely a new food paring for my taste buds. The pork was amazingly soft and tender! The meat just falls from the bone and its full of flavour. It was a bit on the salty side, but it would be great to have with some rice to just balance that out. 6.5/10

Pistachio Crumbed Fish Tacos $21
Deconstructed Souvlaki $21
Glass Noodle Salad $18 with Fungi, Beanshoots, Superfood Sprinkle Seaweed, Coriander, Tofu, Sesame Oil and Sweet Chilli Dressing

Loved this dish! Perhaps my favourite from LSS so far!

The noodles have a perfectly chewy consistency and just absorbs all the flavours so well! The fungi and seaweed was refreshing and so pleasant to eat. There is a sprinkling of nuts and seeds, which not only adds an awesome crunch but also contributes to its healthy factor.

Healthy and so yummy, would be happy to eat this dish everyday! Would recommend! 8.5/10

LSS Beef Burger $21.50 with Fried Duck Egg +$4.50
Chips with Black Garlic Aioli (came with the ribs)

The aioli was pleasant, but the chips were great on their own! Perfectly seasoned and super crispy! 8/10

Green Apple Pannacotta $17
Buttermik Tim Tam Pancakes $19 with Poached Nashis, Vanilla Peanuts, Mascapone, Chocolate Soup & Crispies and Tim Tam Gelato

Not usually a dessert person, but these pancakes were great. This beautiful dessert dish wasn’t overly sweet and had a distinct tim tam chocolatey flavour. Fun to eat and would recommend trying out. 8/10

Cold Drip Coffee Tiramisu $17
Fairy Floss Dessert Burger $19

A perfect dish for those with a super sweet tooth! You get this massive plate of fairy floss along with a glass of milk which you have to pour over the candy to dissolve it and reveal a brioche bun with ice cream. A super fun dish, but a bit too sweet for my liking. 7.5/10

Coconut Eclair $8

Took this home after dinner and tried it straight away. It is amazing. Love the coconut flavour and the cream was sweet without being too overwhelming. Pastry was perfect. Would recommend! 8.5/10

Chocolate Eclair $8

Delicious flavour and yummy pastry cream! 7.5/10
