Hochi Mama is a hidden little eatery that puts a new innovative twist on the usual Vietnamese and Thai dishes.

The place itself is everything cool and hip, with wall to ceiling décor and plenty of neon lights to add to the ambiance.

Food is designed to be tried and shared with lots of menu options to chose from. Dishes are on the pricer end, but its about quality, not quantity right? Cocktails are fun and refreshing.

Would recommend trying out if in the area

Ladyboy $18 Ginger Liqueur, Vodka, Lemon Juice and Pinapple

Great ginger and lemon flavour. A new, but delicious flavour combiantion. 8.5/10

Thai Chi $18 with Aromatic Gin perfectly complemented by Coconut Juice, Lemon and Mint

Refreshing and easy to drink. 7/10

Crispy Pork Belly Bao (2pcs) $14 served with Fresh Cucumber, Pickled Daikon, Spring Onion, Crushed Peanut and Hoisin Sauce

Pork belly was perfectly crispy and went well with the refreshing veggie fillings and hoisin. The bao itself was super soft and yummy. 7.5/10

Trio of Mekong Delta Oyster (3 pcs) $12 with Shallot, Sweet & Sour flavour and “Canh Chua” dressing

Oysters were fresh and the sauce was a good match. 7/10

Vietnamese Sushi Roll with Soft Shell Crab $8.50

First time having a rice noodle inside out sushi roll. The rice noodle gave the roll a pleasant fluffy texture. Soft shell crab was generous and crispy. A good size to try, but not really enough to satisfy. Should order 2 next time! 8/10

Pho’plings (3pcs) $12 Steamed Beef and Pork Mince saigon style Dumpling served with a special Pho Broth

Super cute little bowl of 3 dumplings. The dumplings themserves were juicy and perfectly bite sized. The broth was a bit too sweet for my tastes. 7/10

Hochi Fried Chicken (6pcs) $14

Awesome fried chicken. Crispy outisde and juicy inside. The vietnamese spicy sauce it’s served with is amazing too. 8.5/10

Hanoi Style Crispy Beef Ribs $22

Love these sweet and crispy ribs! You have to munch them off the bone, but that just makes it more fun I reckon. Great to have with the refreshing salad that it comes with. 8.5/10

Massaman Lamb Curry $23

A deliciously rich curry. Essential to have this with some rice. The lamb is very tender and the pineapple pieces do add a nice sweetness to the curry. 8/10

Coconut Rice
Sweet Coco Banh Mi $11

An average dessert, but the coocnut ice cream was delicious. 7/10

Pandan Panna Cotta $16 with Honeycomb, Strawberry, Melon, Pandan Custard, Mango Ice Cream and Vanilla Ice Cream

Beautiful dish. Great texture of the pandan. Love the little melon balls. Highlight would be the Mango ice cream! 8/10
