The Escort and Thief dined courtesy of Hochi Mama
Hochi Mama is a hidden little eatery that puts a new innovative twist on the usual Vietnamese and Thai dishes.
The place itself is everything cool and hip, with wall to ceiling décor and plenty of neon lights to add to the ambiance.
Food is designed to be tried and shared with lots of menu options to chose from. Dishes are on the pricer end, but its about quality, not quantity right? Cocktails are fun and refreshing.
Would recommend trying out if in the area

Refreshing and easy to drink. 7/10
Pork belly was perfectly crispy and went well with the refreshing veggie fillings and hoisin. The bao itself was super soft and yummy. 7.5/10
Oysters were fresh and the sauce was a good match. 7/10
First time having a rice noodle inside out sushi roll. The rice noodle gave the roll a pleasant fluffy texture. Soft shell crab was generous and crispy. A good size to try, but not really enough to satisfy. Should order 2 next time! 8/10
Super cute little bowl of 3 dumplings. The dumplings themserves were juicy and perfectly bite sized. The broth was a bit too sweet for my tastes. 7/10
Awesome fried chicken. Crispy outisde and juicy inside. The vietnamese spicy sauce it’s served with is amazing too. 8.5/10
Love these sweet and crispy ribs! You have to munch them off the bone, but that just makes it more fun I reckon. Great to have with the refreshing salad that it comes with. 8.5/10
A deliciously rich curry. Essential to have this with some rice. The lamb is very tender and the pineapple pieces do add a nice sweetness to the curry. 8/10
An average dessert, but the coocnut ice cream was delicious. 7/10
Beautiful dish. Great texture of the pandan. Love the little melon balls. Highlight would be the Mango ice cream! 8/10
