Southside Central is the cool new joint for epic burgers and drinks.

Located on the top end of Chapel Street, Southside spans over 2 floors and even has an in-house DJ Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Their menu showcases an extensive range of burgers from the extreme to the more innovative. My favourite was the Harlem, a surprisingly delicious combination of chicken and waffles. There’s also plenty of sides and nibbles to snack on. Loaded fries are great!

Heaps of cocktails and other alcoholic drinks available. The ones we had were delicious and really hit the spot.

Would recommend checking out

Snickers spiked with Frangelico Liqueur $16

Deliciously chocolatey! 8/10

Mexican Summer $19 Tequila, Orange Liquer, Lemon Juice, Cherry Syrup, Red Wine shaked and served neat

Very pretty and had a good alcoholic hit. Very fruity and refreshing! 8/10

Southern Fried Chicken Tenders with Ranch Sauce $8

Chicken was a bit too dry for my liking. Good ranch sauce though. 6/10

Mac n Cheese Nuggets with a Spicy Tomato and Pickle Mayo $7

Crunchy snack sized bits of goodness. Tasted great even without the sauce! 7.5/10

Taco Fries $11 with Salsa, Queso Fresco, Sour Cream, Jalapenos and Guacamole

Super generous serving size! So much topping on top and in the middle too! Probably the most jalapenos I’ve ever seen on fries. Loved the crinkle cut too. Would recommend! 8.5/10

The Southside Meat Market $14 Beef Pattie, Southern Fried Chicken, Bacon Relish, American Cheddar, Social Mayo, Ketchup, Lettuce & Tomato in a Butter Toasted Bun

A meat lover’s dream! Both chicken and beef were delicious. Loved the bacon relish. All the flavours went together really well. Would recommend! 8.5/10

Harlem Burger $13 with Southern Fried Chicken, American Cheddar, White BBQ Sauce, Maple Mayo served between 2 Buttermilk Waffles dusted in Powdered Sugar

I thought the sweet maple flavor and savoury chicken would clash, but it didn’t. It was delicious! The chicken was moist and the waffles were nice and fluffy. Would definitely recommend trying out! Reasonable price too for the portion size served. 9/10
