The Escort and Thief dined courtesy of Aunty Franklee
Aunty Franklee is celebrating their 1st birthday and we were lucky enough to invited to the delicious feast! Food is still just as good as when we had it last and service is always so friendly and attentive. Love the cosy dining atmosphere so would definitely recommend trying out!
So light and crispy! Delicious on their own but even better with peanut sauce. 7.5/10
Amazing broth! So much flavour and depth in this soup. Definitely a comfort dish that is ideal for winter days or as a pick me up when you’re not feeling well. Love the mushrooms and black fungus. Chicken was surprisingly tender and flavoursome. 9.5/10
Went well with all the dishes!
Fragrant and flavoursome! A common one, but always a good option. 8/10
Fall off the meat tender! Delicious sweet and slightly sticky sauce went with the meat beautifully. Peanut sauce wasn’t even needed, but always good to have. 8.5/10
Such a flavour hit in this broth! Not usually a fan of herbal flavours, but this one was delicious! Very intense but went well with the rice! Even the pork ribs were delicious to munch on. 8.5/10
At first I felt the fish sauce was a bit too sweet, but it really grew on me! Loved the tender pieces of fish and the sauce went beautifully with the rice. 7.5/10
Had the lavender and honey flavour which was good, but the actual bits of lavender was a bit too intense. 6/10
